Today as I was surfing blogs I found the EU Referendum. (eureferendum.blogspot.com)

The post I read showed how the media is using a picture of a poor dead girl as propaganda. The pictures were staged. I would not suggest any mother to look at the pictures. I am still a bit shaken.

I quote, “These photographers are obviously willing to participate in propaganda,” Limbaugh is cited as saying. “They know exactly what’s being done, all these photos, bringing the bodies out of the rubble, posing them for the cameras, it’s all staged. Every bit of it is staged and the still photographers know it.”

The sad thing is that I did not care if the girl was Lebonese or Israeli. I thought only of my own daughter who is of a similar age. Why would Hezbollah put their children at risk just to make Israel look bad?

When 9/11 happened, I remembered how at first fear gripped the nation. The first thought for many parents was their children’s safety. I was a teacher at the time. I watched many parents pick up their children from school because they did not feel like their children were safe. I only thought how I could protect my students. By the way, I lived a 12 hours drive from New York City at the time.

I also refused to travel to Central Asia with my two children after a massacre in Uzbekistan. I did not want to risk my children’s lives. During a storm, I keep them from the windows. As a child, I remember there was a police chase through my backyard. Yes, the criminal and the police were armed. My little brother was playing in front of the window. When I saw the chase, I quickly jumped on top of my baby brother to protect him until the chase moved on to the neighbor’s yard.

It is a natural instinct to protect our children. So, why would Hezbollah use children as propaganda? Why would anyone support such a sick group? You don’t see too many pictures of dead Israeli children being propped up for photos? Why? Because that goes against the laws of nature. Even in their deaths, children should be protected. Yet Hamas, PLO, and Hezbollah continually use the dead bodies of the innocent in their sick guerrilla war games.

I do not see the pictures of the dead Lebonese girl and think, “how terrible the Israelis!!” I think instead of how sick the reporters are for using the innocent as a weapon of propaganda. I feel so sorry for the mother of this child and wish Hezbollah and Lebanon worked harder to protect her and her baby girl. (What is ironic is that it is ISRAEL warning the people to flee and trying to protect the innocent Lebonese) Instead of shooting missiles from apartment buildings full of sleeping children, they should have hidden the women and children in a bunker or at least evacuated them. That is what the British did during World War II. That is what Israel is doing now.

The media should express sympathy for the family, but attack Hezbollah for not protecting the innocent. (Isn’t that what Muslims are supposed to do anyways?) They should never be described as a “humanitarian organization” again! The photographers who used this child should be ashamed.

Yes, I know that even when a people try their hardest to protect children, they do not always succeed and the innocent die in war. However, those sweet children should not have their dead bodies used in the most horrible way as propaganda.
