What I Didn’t Write About

Posted on October 22nd, 2007 in Other by Ambar

There is so much going on in the world. Turkey is moving troops again to the border. I can’t support the Kurds on this issue.

I am sooooo angry at Pelosi for her pulling that stunt announcing that the Armenians were victims of genocide. How convenient! We all now that there was a genocide, why announce it now when we need Turkey as an ally. Nice going Pelosi. Oh, but she CARES FOR THE CHILDREN! If she talks about how she cares for the children blah blah blah one more time I think I will scream. I wish she would stop caring for the children and let me raise my own without her butting in. I think she should be more focused on winning the war in Iraq, not winning Armenian American votes and trying to take care of the CHILDREN. AAAHH! I long for the days of Newt!!

Please please please Bush, do not butt into the housing market bubble burst. Please let it burst so that I can buy a house for my family next year. See, I was smart and didn’t buy a house when I didn’t have the money to pay for it. I tried to pay off my debt first before going into more debt. I am waiting for the price of housing to go down! Please do it for the middle class who put you in office.

I don’t own any SUVs, we only have one van, and I haven’t bought new shoes in two years. I get so mad when I see people bragging about getting food stamps and government health care while having two cell phones, two or three cars, a house, a home phone, internet, cable, an I POD, and their kids are in all sorts of expensive classes or part of a gym. I guess that flat screen television is more important than food!! I think if you are so desperate to be on food stamps, you would not have those luxuries. Yes, they are luxuries. Food is more important than having cable television or that subscription to National Inquirer.

And please someone tell me WHY WHY WHY you would even CONSIDER voting for Hillary Clinton who has the most baggage of any candidate I have ever heard of. She is the female Putin. Do we really want that? I’d rather hear Bush stumbling over Hillary’s snotty talk anyday. She knows all!! She is going to take care of me!! She will take care of my CHILDREN so I can eat the sun rays with my face in the morning after my yoga and eating my organic grass. Me and the other caregivers will eat organic carrots and teach our sun children about Great Mother. Honest to Gaea!!

Everybody’s going serfing . . .to serfdom USA!!! Woo HOO!!

One more rant! I hate those stupid liberal bumper stickers, especially the COEXIST one. Makes me want to vomit!

Ok, I feel better now!

When I took Rebekah for her last checkup I was asked if I wanted to apply for food stamps because I would qualify for it I just told them I would think about it. Eventhough we have very few luxuries I would be kind of embarrassed to get food stamps. I don’t feel bad about having the kids on medicaid and living in Subsidized housing for 2 reasons. 1. we have had to pay the government so much money and 2. We know it is just for a short time. I know people who have lived in my apartment complex for like 10 years and have graduated college and could find a good job if they wanted to. We will just be living here for several months.

Melissa, I would not hesitate on applying. If you need it, then you need it. What people don’t get is that public assistance is a “hands up” program, not a “hands down” program. If you need it, go for it. That’s why it’s there.

exactly Melissa! Those programs are only there in case of emergency and only to be used temporarily. It is not there to be used to get out of work. You have no family nearby and only have one semester of school. You should feel guilt free.

I understand the food stamp thing though. I have also been very poor in my life, but never thought to use food stamps. It is how I was raised I guess.

I think personally WIC and food stamps are too much trouble. I’d rather live with my mom:-)
