Many of you know that I live in the D.C. area. Inauguration Day is a huge deal here no matter how you voted. My husband who is in the Army Reserves was recently activated and is now work for the Armed Forces Inauguration Committee. (AFIC) He will be an usher.
I guess it is exciting though I was planning to go out of town since Victoria will be out of school Monday and Tuesday. It will be way too cold anyway so I plan to buy some heaters, stock up on food and videos and go no where. Traffic will be crazy so I won’t be able to go anywhere unless my husband can hook me up with a hotel with a parade view. That is not likely since hotels are all booked in the area.
There was already a rehearsal with actors pretending to be Obama, Michelle, and the kids. Aziz missed it because he hasn’t been all processed yet. He just got his orders yesterday. I wouldn’t mind going up to see the preparations or even a rehearsal. I will have to ask Aziz when the next rehearsal is. That to me is just as good as the real thing. I don’t know. I heard it is already crazy in D.C.!
I hope we get some pictures to remember the moment.
CNN was covering part of the dress rehearsal yesterday. I thought it was cool.
