I am finally keeping a journal. Victoria is keeping one too. I am avoiding anything political or intellectual in my journal. When I do that, I tend to lose focus and then my journal becomes filled with odd notes. Perhaps some day that might amuse someone, but they won’t learn anything about me. Journals are for future generations to enjoy since you are too embarrassed to let anyone read them when you are alive. I still keep my journals from when I was a teenager hidden. (was I really so corny?)
I notice that my journals tend to be gossipy since I don’t believe in telling gossip and I certainly wouldn’t share gossip online. I guess I should explain this in my journal or else future generations will think me a gossip!! A journal is a great place to get things out that really bother you!
I notice my daughter’s journal gets pretty gossipy as well. Maybe it is the nature of women.
JJ found my journal from when I was younger. And it is really corny!
Like totally! I think I actually wrote “cowabunga” in mine!!
