Sunday I had my worst menstrual period in months. I could not get out of bed. Blood literally dripped down my leg. It was terrible and a little bit painful. So, Aziz took the kids out and I laid down in the bed all morning.
I decided to read articles on the internet because there was nothing on television and I wasn’t in the mood to read a book. I have a lap top with a lap top stand so it makes it easy to use in bed. For some reason I decided to read the horror stories on snopes.com. It is a great way to pass the time and I love reading strange stories. You know how it is on the internet. I went from reading the tales on snopes.com to reading an e-book about Elizabeth Bathory.
In case you haven’t heard of her, Elizabeth Bathory is considered to be one of the real life vampires. She would kidnap girls and bring them to her palace to torture them. Girls were found drained of their blood. Stories later surfaced that she would drain the girls’ blood in a tub and take a bath in their blood in order to keep her youth. The truth is that she was more like a sadist who abused her power and murdered hundreds of girls.
Aziz brought the kids home and I finished reading the bloody story of Elizabeth Bathory. Now I was full of disgust and got my fill of horror for the day. I decided that I needed to eat some meat so I cooked a hamburger for my husband and myself. I was near passing out but continued to cook while sitting on a stool. I gave my husband one hamburger and he ate his fine. It was well done. I put mine in bread and took a bite. Blood was everywhere! The hamburger was a pocket of blood! The blood dripped into the bread and all over my finger and was all over my lips.
On another day I might just recook the burger, but not today. I threw the thing away. I had enough of blood that day!
