In the name of God Amen this 8th day of September in the year of our lord 1744.
I Hannah Demovel, of Copel parish in the County of Westmoreland being sick and weeak of body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to God therefore calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all persons once to die do make this my last will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) First and principally I give my Soul to God who gave it me and my body to b buried at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named hoping through the merits of my blessed saviour to receive it again at the day of my resurrection by the mighty power of me with I give and Bequeath as followeth -
Imprimis I give and bequeath to Peter Lamkin (son), son of George Lamkin (first husband), deceased one shilling sterling money of England.
Item I give and bequeath to my Grandaughter Hannah Demovill one feather bed bedstead and furniture and one Crumpled horn Cow and Calf and one box Iron and Heatoer and one woolen wheel and two boxes and a full third part of what is in them.
Item I give and bequeath to my Grandaughter Mary Middleton one Young heifer. (Elizabeth Damourville married Benjamin Middleton)
Item I give and bequeath to my Grandaughter Hannah Armistead one Iron spitt and two pewter and nine pewter plates and one Tankard and one Bason and all my spoons and one salt sellar and one Mustard Pott and all my Earthen ware and my Great Chest which hath a whole led and all that is in it and one four Gallon Iron pott and pot hooks and one Grinding stone and one feather bed and furniture and two bedsteads and one linnen wheel, and one pair of fire tongs and one fifty Gallonn Cask and Runlett. (Hannah is daughter of Hannah Damourville who married John Armistead)
Item I give and bequeath to Sarah Armstead daughter of John Armistead and Hannah his wife one pide cow -
Item I give and bequeath to my Grandaughter Jane More one Chest, one pewter dish and one plate -
Item I give and bequeath to my Grandaughter Hannah Hartley one pewter dish and two pewter plates and one two Gallon and a half Iron pott
Item I give and bequeath to my Grandson James Lamkin, #2559, one pewter dish & three pewter plates -
Item I give and bequeath to my Grandson Samuel Lamkin, #4489, one Chest and one Flagon and one plate and one nine Gallon Iron pott.
Item I give and bequeath to my Grandaughter Hannah Brown one trunk one pewter plate and one looking glass and one fifteen Gallon Iron pott.
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Magdalen Jackson one negro man named Tone -
Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Middleton one negro woman named Pegg -
Item I give and bequeath to my Grandaughter Magdalen Glaughton One Gallon a half Iron pott -
Item I give and bequeath to my son in law Benjamin Middleton seven head of Cattle and Eight head of hogs and ten pounds Current money to be raised out of my estate after my debts and legacies before bequeathed is paid.
Item I give and bequeath to John Armstead seven head of cattle and eight head of hogs and ten pounds Current money to be raised out of the residue of my estate after my debts and aforementioned legacies is paid.
Item I also constitute and appoint Benjamin Middleton and John Armstead whole and sole Executors of this my last will and testament to see the same fulfilled and performed I hereby revoking and disannulling all former wills by me made or devised and confirming and ratifying and allowing this and no other to be my last will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal the day and year above written – (sons-in-law)

Westm Sct. At a court held for the said County the 25th day of Sepr 1744 This last will and Testament of Hannah Demovel deceased was prsented into Court by Benjamin Middleton and John Armstead her Exers in the said will named who made oath thereto and being proved by te oaths of the witnesses thereto is admitted to record. And upon the motion of the said Exers and their performing what is usual in such cases Certificate is granted them for obtaining a probate thereof in due form -
