Vietnamese Vampires

I had this nightmare two nights ago but cannot forget it because it was so different.

I was with a group of American students in Vietnam. We were told to stay around the University where we were studying. We made friends with the local kids and had fun eating at local cafes. One boy we met was Vietnamese but he had a French last name. His great grandfather was a French colonist. Therefore he as always interested in Western culture and was excited to be our guide. e told us to stay near him, but one night we went out alone. Somehow a group of us got lost and we found an old building that looked like it might have been part of the university. We were scared and had no place to rest so we went inside. There we found a group of Frenchmen who were descendants of French colonists. They all shared the house and welcomed us and invited us to stay. The leader of the group was a handsome man named Sid. He was tall tow headed man with a chiseled looking face. He acted very aristocratic like and had nervous looking servants serve us tea and finger foods before a great big fire.

That night we went to sleep in various guest rooms about the house. We heard screams and a friend and I ran out to see what was wrong. Our friends were murdered and covered with blood. Other of our friends also ran to us to warn us that others had been killed and one girl said she saw a vampire. We decided to leave the house and try to find our way through the dark streets of Saigon back to our dorms. The group of Frenchmen ran after us blood coming down their faces, only Sid was not bloody , but he could fly in the air. He flew in front of me and my friend and had electric shocks come out of his hands. One stabbed my friend, but he grabbed me and flew with me in the air. He landed about to attack me when our Vietnamese guide and a Vietnamese woman appeared to try to save me. Sid stabbed the Vietnamese lady, but the Vietnamese guide was able to pick me up and run. He grabbed my hand and we ran to a home outside town. “My great grandfather will never bother you again” the guide said.

Of course the dream was way more visual. There was the smells of lime and fish sauce in the air, the bakeries, the flowers in beautiful Vietnamese gardens. None of the people had names, well because it was a dream after all and there was a weird part where I kept trying to find someone in a neighborhood near the Vampire house. I think my “friends” and I stayed at the Vampire hose for days. There were also scenes where we were running in the jungles and Sid was burning the jungles capturing victims in a ring of fire to make it easier for the Vampires to kill them and drink their blood. The Vampires cam to Vietnam from France during the colonial times. They were once all aristocrats who fled Paris during the reign of terror. the Vampires found a castle in the Alp mountains to hide. They were not Vampires at the time. Then a Vampire woman who lived a the castle, attacked them one by one. They gave her homage and she turned them into Vampires instead of killing them as long as they brought her fresh victims. Sid whose name was Louis George, an aristocrat, became tired of groveling under the Vampire lady named Elizabeth and fought a duel with her. He lost so Louis and his group had to flee for she promised to kill them all. They decided to return to France and found a group going to Indochine. They decided to set up a new life in Saigon. Louis changed his name to Sid and became a wealthy merchant and kept his group of Vampires under him or else he would kill them. He was more ruthless than Elizabeth, but was smarter.

During the Vietnam war Sid and his group had fun terrifying and killing American soldiers in the dark jungles. Once they terrified an officer so much that he attacked and massacred the village of My Lai leaving plenty of victims for Sid. The Communist government dared not bother the Vampires and Sid cast a spell on Ho Chi Minh making him desire the blood of innocents. He also bit Pol Pot, who he knew was well educated in France and whom he knew had a secret affair with Elizabeth. Sid was planning to conquer Indochina for himself, millions fled. Pol Pot later became Sid’s enemy, so Sid sent his secret Vampire army to Laos instead.

Sid had children with a Vietnamese woman who took her family and hid in the jungles from him. She raised her son to hate Sid but gave him Sid’s last name for it was aristocratic. The family went back to Saigon, but Sid never bothered his son for he feared that he would tell the truth about him. Once the US left Vietnam, Sid decided to live quietly in his home in Saigon with his group of French Aristocrat Vampires, until they were bothered again by a group of American students, they missed the taste of American blood.
