Number Three- Aron

I am suffering with another UTI so I will sit and write about the exciting adventures of my son Aron. Aron is 4 1/2 years old and right now is the youngest. He stays at home but goes to a part time preschool at friends' houses. He does gymnastics once a week and his older brother, who is 7, is his hero. He loves Super Hero Squad, Avengers, and Lego Batman and can tell you everything about them. He could probably join in conversations at comic book stores about the assassination of Captain America and Harlequin chasing the Joker. He can already read some words but he can't write well as he still struggles with the right coordination. He wants to read and learn his math because he wants to be like his older brother and sister. He also loves to play video games and to pretend he is Wolverine or Ironman.

He is growing up but struggles from time to time. He is a very persistent sensitive boy. He hates change and likes to keep a simple routine. Clothes bother him and he refuses to wear socks. Fortunately warmer weather is coming. He hates tags and zippers and buttons. He likes to run around in his underwear making the entire family nervous in the winter. He does like to wear hats and coats outside at least with his favorite Ironman boots. (sans socks) He wore his tennis shoes without socks and cried when he discovered that his feet stunk. He is also sensitive to smells and will cry if he smells a strong odor. The strange thing is that he loves curry and kim chi which are both stinky! He loves to suck on spicy kim chi. See, he is complicated.

He loves music and can sing a tune perfectly. He was wonderful pitch. When he was a baby and you sang out of tune he would cry. He can even pick out a simple scale on the piano. He loves to sing and perform in front of people especially if he makes them laugh. He is frustrated that he can't do the gymnastics moves his older brother can do.

He hates change. I have to give him an hour warning before we leave to go anywhere. Going anywhere is a challenge. Even to go to his favorite restaurant, Burger King is a long fight. He hates to get dressed and will spend 30 minutes going through his clothes. We have left many times in tears. When we are out if he decides that he doesn't want to leave a store he will sit there and flop his body around so you can't take him out. It is so embarrassing and causes more tears especially since I can't pick him up right now.His favorite thing to do is to throw his shoes and his coat. My older kids know to quietly pick up his shoes and coat while I drag him out of a store. They are just as embarrassed as I am (though they had their fits in public once upon time)

He is smart and sweet to everyone. When he is at someone's house he is respectful and nice. I get compliments all the time about how wonderful he is. He has great attention and loves to learn and can have conversations with adults with ease. He is just so stubborn!!

I will go to a pediatrician to check and see if he is physically in good health. I want to rule out any sensitivity problems or allergies I am not catching. I know his teeth are hurting and he is seeing a dentist to fix his teeth. Overall he is a wonderful kid, trying to grow up in this difficult world.
