On the Road- Denny's

I was back on the road. I drove from Chattanooga, TN to Northern VA. It took me 11 hours. A big box of Goldfish kept my kids'  stomachs occupied most of the trip though we did have apple slices and frozen slushies from the gas station.

For dinner we had Denny's where kids eat free on Saturday. We ate at the one in Salem, VA. The restaurant was clean and nice so different from the Denny's in Woodbridge, VA which smells like a dirty bathroom. The kids ate free and the kid's meals were healthy. They ate plenty of fruit and had yogurt for dessert. We were definitely not in the mood for hamburgers after Jonny threw up his cheeseburger at the VA/TN border.

I ate an omelet so I was able to enjoy vegetables for once. I took my time while waiting for a terrible storm to go by. The kids enjoyed their grapes and strawberries. The service was quick and friendly. The biggest plus is that Denny's has a lot of offers for customers with diabetes something I am more aware of since my mother recently got a diabetes diagnosis.

Denny's is definitely a place we will go again in the future when we are traveling. I will continue to skip the Woodbridge Denny's.
