Charles McLin Keith
1. Charles McLin Keith was born 1866 in Spalding County, Georgia and died in 1931 in Atlanta, Georgia. He married Mary Addie Patrick.
2. William J. Keith was born about 1836 in Tennessee. Not a lot is known about his life. He might have fought in the Civil War and died when Charles Keith was very young as Charles McLin Keith was raised by his step-grandmother Julia.
3. Elizabeth R. McLin was born around 1840 in Tennessee. She married William J. Keith on December 12, 1856 in Atlanta, Georgia. She probably died in Spalding County, Georgia. There is not a lot of information on her family. She is one of my brick walls.
4. Rev. William James Keith was born in April 16, 1811 in Maryville, Tennessee. He married first Martha Shumate and then Julia Winn. He died on August 5, 1874 in Griffin, Spalding County, Georgia. I have a picture of him but was unable to upload it.
5. Martha J Shumate is a major brick wall. An announcement in a newspaper states that Martha Shumate was from New Orleans, LA. I found another Martha Shumate in Kentucky where William Keith lived as a young minister.
8. William James Keith was born in 1790 in Pennsylvania according to the census. We don’t know who his first wife was the mother of William James Keith II. He married later Elizabeth McCammon.
