Housewifery in NYC

I also got to be a housewife in Queens, NY. The high cost of living forced me to do a lot of my shopping at the dollar store. I had to do dishes by hand and my laundry at the laundromat. I also had to walk with my two small kids to the grocery store and push all of our groceries in our own basket sometimes 10 blocks. The one thing I like is that I could just take out my garbage on to the street and the garbage man took it. Here I have to drive to get rid of my garbage. I also miss having a Russian section in the public library.

It is a lot of fun to live in NYC. Once I found out I was pregnant with a third child, however, we decided that NYC city was not the place for us. It is not the most kid friendly city. I hope we can visit again soon as my mother-in-law still lives there.

Queens is also the place where I cooked my first Thanksgiving dinner. It was a success!! Except for the loud neighbors blasting bachata music upstairs!!
