I remember reading a book by Glenn Beck who said that after homosexual marriage, incest would be next. I thought he was crazy. I didn’t realize that incest is already legal in France, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, Portugal, Turkey (no surprise), Japan (WHAT??), Argentina, and Brazil.

Now a brother/sister couple in Germany are fighting for the legal right to be married. Historically, what happens in Europe will eventually be a trend here. Will we have cousins and siblings fighting for their legal right to marriage soon as well?

I guess the crazy conservative talk show host Glenn Beck was right. First gay marriage, then incest. Cousin marriages are preferred in Muslim culture by the way, and yes, my mother has cousins who were in a cousin marriage, and, no surprise, their children had problems. Brother and sister marriages are just sick. What next??

I hate incest in the least bit. I would not even date a 6th cousin. But that is just my weird self. So the idea of cousins getting married is sick to me. Sibling marriage does not even register in my brain.

But for people who do not have my weird neurosis, (I think from having a mother who is a genealogist, I want to see branches in my family tree thank you), what do you think about cousin or step sibling marriage? We won’t discuss sibling marriage.
