Babies Find the Darndest Things

img_0002.JPGMy youngest is now 9 months and is still not crawling. He sits on his bottom and scoots himself around. I am not too worried about him not crawling yet. I know every baby does things differently.

One day I found a tiny chicken bone in his mouth. We haven’t had chicken with bones in the home for two weeks as we had been out of town. He also found a tiny screw and a rubber band. I thought for sure I cleaned up everything. He finds pieces of hair barrettes that have broken off, and the horror, heads to Power Ranger Toys.

I am terrified the boy will choke as I can’t seem to clear the floor of all debris. I have now decided that along with picking up our toys before we go to bed, we will search the floor for anything baby Aron might put in his mouth. As babies seem to have a gift for finding dirt, this probably won’t help much. I can at least make sure that nothing will choke him.

I hope we have no more surprises, at least until he crawls. Then I will have to baby proof the apartment in new ways.

It seems that no matter how well you clean babies will find something to put in their mouths.
