It is the middle of September so that means your local mall will probably open up one of those temporary Halloween Express stores.

Last night after eating at Frisch’s Big Boy, food that tasted like school cafeteria food, we checked out our Halloween Express in the building that used to have Dillard’s. We had fun looking at all of the scary masks and decorations. They  now have a CSI crime scene theme that is very interesting. With kids, I would never decorate that way. It might be fun for others however.

I tried on one of the masks forgetting that I am allergic to latex which was what the mask was made of so I had to quickly wash my face and hands when we got home. Jon Jon loved the Star Wars costumes and of course Victoria liked the Princess ones. This year because we are reading the Wizard of Oz, she was excited to see a Dorothy costume. Jon Jon saw a cute penguin one. I saw a funny “Fat Elvis” one that I really wish I could buy my for my father.

I love Halloween and have some wonderful Halloween memories. My Aunt Ida’s birthday is on Halloween so she would throw the best parties. Now Halloween is more for the children, but it is fun watching them dress up and get candy. Plus we always seem to move around Halloween. Isn’t that strange?
