Is this just for cold medicines? I gave Sariah infant ibuprofen when she was sick and she felt a lot better.

I hope your kids feel better soon.

I don't like to take cold medicines, nor do I give it to my children. I prefer for the cold to run it's course. Our pediatritian told me that when you give a child Robitussin, it can lead to complications such as Pneumonia or an upper respiratory infection. This is because these medicines work as cough suppressants, and don't allow for the mucus to exit the lungs.

I know it's difficult to deal with a sick child for days, but I would just prefer to ride it out. Now, if they have a medical condition such as asthma, then I would give the asthma medication. That is completely different.

Hey, did you delete my comment? Just because you don't agree, it doesn't mean you have to erase it. That's the last time I'll comment.

No, it went to moderation because you used a new email address. I actually agree with you. I only give medicine to my kids, especially when they are small, under a doctor's supervision. I gave robitussin to my kids because my doctor recommended it.

When I was little cough medicines still had alcohol in it!
