The Happy Homemaker

I went to Alabama to visit my parents during this holiday weekend. My husband is already in Virginia. Victoria understands why he is gone, but Jon does not and has been asking “when is Papa coming home?” Aron has been looking for Aziz at the door. Poor babies. I miss him too, but I know this move is necessary. I actually look forward to living close to Washington D.C. Aziz is now looking for a house. With housing prices going down, we might actually be able to afford one this year.

On the way home we stopped by our favorite used book store, McKay’s. We found a comic book for Jon. A Barbie book for Victoria. I found a book I read in the library a year ago, “Help Your Child With a Foreign Language” for only $2! We got home at 5:30. I ordered pizza which is now making me sick at this moment uugghh!!

I had a wild weekend babysitting while my brother was getting his private life in order. I had fun playing with my nieces and talking to my family. I also played Guitar Hero and got pretty far in my career. I really felt like a rock star! I played Guns N Roses and The Rolling Stones! I played a Rolling Stones song on a real guitar! I love music. I love singing and trying to play the piano and guitar. I was never very good, though I did win a solo part in a choir performance once. I used to sing very loud, now my voice is weak and wouldn’t carry over one row. I always have Karaoke though!!

My kids are still awake, but I just don’t have the energy to fight them. They will be punished when I wake them up at 7 AM for school!
