Momma’s Back!
I have been sick the past week, so it was party time for my kids! No more! Momma’s back and she is feeling fine! Victoria got four time outs. She is six years old so that means she got 6 whole minutes!! Jon got two time outs for four minutes. I gave Aron 30 second time outs since being made to sit still for 30 seconds was torture to the boy. He got a time out for slapping me in the face or slapping his brother or sister in the face. We need to stop that behavior.
My kids had to clean up after themselves and put their dishes away when they were done eating. They even had chores to do. No more party time!
I admit I let things go the past couple of weeks. That is a huge risk in being a homemaker. You lose yourself and stop caring. Every once in a while you have to whip yourself back into shape. Children really need a mother, not some lady who gives them food and entertainment. They really need rules.
One thing I learned is that it is never too late to start. I lost myself because I was ill and sad my husband was gone. Now I have to move on and take charge. Everything is ok and I have never felt happier!
Now if I can just lose some of that extra weight. I am doing great with not eating so much junk and rarely drink sodas. I only drink a soda if I just can’t wake up. I eat well and take my vitamins. I am getting more exercise as well. I practice Russian with my children and am studying the scriptures daily. The best thing is that my apartment is clean again. I feel better sitting in a clean house.
It takes to be a happy homemaker, but it is so worth it!

Everything you said is very true. Children start at very young ages trying to test their boundaries.
