Muslim Loner Watch

Any killer can be a “loner” but we seem to have a problem with Muslim Loners who make spontaneous terror the past 10 years. It is an interesting trend that seems to be repeated. The media always mention the killer or attempted leader as a “loner” and worries about anti-Muslim backlash. The media and now our government (right Miss Janet?) worry too much about anti-Muslim backlash rather than the problem of “loner” Muslims attacking innocents all over the world.

The Muslim Loner problem is not just in America. They can live anywhere in the world including Palestine, Indonesia, and Europe. They are usually well educated, quiet, and hard working. Some, usually converts, have a criminal record and low education. Major Nidal Malik Hasan fell into the former category. He was a second generation Palestinian immigrant who grew up in Virginia. He joined he military and worked as a psychiatrist. His brother said he as traumatized by working with those who returned from Iraq and Afghanistan. He was going to be deployed to that place which caused so much pain for others, snapped and shot a bunch of soldiers.

That simply does not make sense. Psychiatrists work with all sorts of traumatizing situations even in the civilian world. If it bothered him he could have taken a medication or tried to get discharged due to mental illness. I don’t know all of the details of the military, but I could ask my husband.

Why would he go to a base, shout “Allahu Akbar” and shoot and kill his fellow American soldiers? Why would he do this after other failed attacks on military bases, it is way too coincidental.

This reminds me of another shooting on February 12, 2007. This one is terrifying because I know someone who was there at the time of the shooting with her two young children and pregnant with another. They survived by hiding in a dressing room. She lost her baby while she was five months pregnant not long after.

The shooter was Sulejman Talovic a Muslim immigrant from Bosnia. He was 17 years old and had a Bosnian girlfriend. He was described on March 16, 2007 in the Deseret News as “a loner, withdrawn, almost invisible”. He was a high school drop out, a loser. It was a surprise that he shot so many people. Their are claims that he was a white supremacist, but unlikely since he is a Bosnian and he only shot whites in a very white Utah. “He never, never [hurt anyone]. He was very nice person.” Talovic “just stayed to himself.” The Talovic family’s neighbors also said they knew little about Talovic, describing him as a quiet teen who kept to himself. (Salt Lake Tribune) He wasn’t particularly religious, but did attend Mosque before quitting to work full time.

So an educated Palestinian and an uneducated Bosnian teenager share something in common. They are both Muslim, attend a mosque, come from ordinary families, grew up mainly in the US, and were angry loners with a grudge. If these were the only two Muslim Loners I might just ignore it but look at the list of names-March 24, 2003 AsanAkbar,Mohammad Rashid Saeed-Alim Oct 2008, Shahawar Matin Siraj 2004, Nabil Oukal 2000, Bilal Abdulla 2007, Rashid Baz 1994, Riduan Isamuddin 2003, Sulejman Talovic 2007, Kamel Bourgass 2005, John Allen Muhammed 2002 , Russell “Muhammed” Defreitas, Hesham Mohamed Hadayet, Naveed Afzal Haq,Germaine Jamal Lindsay, Mohammed Bouyeri, Richard Abdul Rashid Reid. All were loners, angry, Muslim who tried to kill the most they group and cause the greatest terror.

Islam is not like Catholicism or like the LDS church. There is not one leader who organizes all Muslims under one umbrella. Just like there is Satanism, there must be an underground offshoot of Islam that is for death and terror. So calling one a Muslim terrorist should not be something apologized for. Perhaps there is a group organized online that recruits “loners”. I should not say perhaps because there are crazy websites that I will not try to look for. Like pronography or neo-Nazism a loner who feels they have no purpose or suffers from some other disorder would caught up and slowly dragged deeper and deeper into these militant groups. Right now this militant form of Islam is dangerous and the media should focus on these types of groups and the loners they attract rather than “oh, Islam is a peaceful religion, the guy is a crazy loner . . .blah blah blah. That sort of thinking will keep us getting killed. They are loners because they believe in these dangerous beliefs. Like the “loners” who play those online games calling themselves “pagans”. You don’t see too many pagans going to public places screaming “Thor is great!” and massacring mothers and babies.
