The Thoughtful Homemaker

I am a homemaker and though originally I set out to blog about homemaking, the blog has since turned into a place where I can express myself. See, even though I do an important work in taking care of my home and my children, my mind is still at use. This is a blog that expresses the dreams, passions, and reflections of a homemaker. We aren’t miserable and desperate. We are the world’s original community organizers!! I love to help my community the best that I can. I am creative and deep but horribly unorganized! I also used to be extremely extraverted but through the moves have become more and more shy. I have completely lost my ability to speak and sing in public. I need to work on that weakness.

My passions are travel, history, genealogy, language, and music. I love teaching my children and love seeing them develop their own loves. My daughter loves to sing, and lately loves science and weather. She loves to try to predict the weather and sometimes can be accurate. She is gifted in mathematics and loves to calculate people’s ages in her head. My oldest son is a lot like his mother. He is very sensitive and creative. He loves Star Wars and now is into Medieval Knights. I love how when he has an interest he wants to see every book he can find on the subject. He is also very good at gymnastics. Aron is a strong boy who will probably be recruited by football coaches in the future. That boy can knock down adults! He has a gift for singing even at his young age and loves to make people laugh.
